The arms-down inside internal sleeve pockets with the back and crotch straps secured is very efficient - especially as the hands are walled-in on either side by tough hide panels to prevent any finger action. Such jackets can only be applied efficiently with co-operation from the wearer-to-be -(not usually a problem in a prison environment). But, if the wearers arms are too long, the jacket can not be closed properly at the back.

Generally efficient design does keep the wearer out of mischief - especially if ankles are fixed to a bed or floor anchor-point.

PHOTOS BELOW show a different configuration around the crotch-strap area. There is also less shaping around the shoulders and neck of the jacket
